Sit.Feel.Heal. Nicaragua Retreat

A Week of Deep Practice and Relational Play

A Week of Self Reflective Practice

Not everything gets lighter just because you’re by the ocean.
You bring yourself here.
The ache. The numbness. The restlessness.
And still, you come.

This retreat isn’t about chasing bliss.
It’s about remembering that what we call bliss is already here,
woven into the breath, the salt on your skin,
the laughter between new friends,
and even the moments that feel raw or uncomfortable.

Here everything is our practice: Turning inward through silence, stillness, and reflection.

Opening outward through connection and play. Each deepens the other.

Yes, we’ll play, stretch and laugh.
Yes, we’ll meet the quiet and the discomfort too.
This is a space to feel what you’ve been avoiding.

To ask, without shame:
What am I really devoted to?

What We’re Practicing

Deep and Playful

  • Sitting with what’s real, not just the calm, but the chaos

  • Letting discomfort rise without rushing to fix it

  • Being honest about your relationship with (healing) practice

  • Creating space for what’s alive underneath routine

  • Moving your body without pressure

  • Letting joy come in through direct experience, ocean, and open sky

  • Letting the wildness around you loosen what’s stuck inside

This Retreat Might Be for You If:

  • You’re burned out and not sure why

  • You’re stuck in your practice but pretending not to be

  • You want more than a vacation, you want to feel

  • You need space to hear yourself again

This is about interruption from routine, from spiritual autopilot, from pretending.

And in that pause,
something honest might meet you.

  • For travel planning, we recommend flying into Managua International Airport (MGA) in Nicaragua. Avianca is often a budget-friendly airline option.

The shuttle ride from Managua to Costa Dulce Eco-Resort is just under three hours.

We recommend arriving in Nicaragua on June 14 and flying home on June 21 to allow for smooth travel on both ends of the retreat. If you’re unable to add a travel day, we suggest arriving early on your arrival day and departing later in the evening on your return day.

Please know you don’t need to have everything figured out right now. We’ll guide you step-by-step as the retreat approaches.  ** If you prefer to fly to and from Costa Rica (Liberia International Airport) - we will accommodate that travel to and from also.

If you are joining us on this retreat, once you sign up, you will receive more detailed information. We will connect you with others and send detailed information. If you have more questions, please email us and we will answer as best we can.

MEET YOUR MOVEMENT TEACHER

Beth Hartman is the founder of Heat Yoga Studio & Spa and has been teaching yoga since 2012.

I met Beth while visiting Costa Dulce — and what stood out immediately wasn’t just her skill, but her presence. Grounded. Relational. Clear. There was a shared understanding that movement, like meditation, isn’t about performance — it’s about relationship.

Beth creates spaces where people can feel safe in their bodies. Where diversity is honored. Where practice isn’t about achieving a shape, but about meeting yourself honestly.

Her work is rooted in the early teachings of yoga — especially Yama, the first limb of the eightfold path — which emphasizes how we relate to ourselves and to others. For Beth, yoga isn’t about flexibility or aesthetics. It’s about alignment — internally and relationally.

On retreat, Beth will guide gentle, accessible movement practices designed to support and complement our meditation work. Think somatic awareness. Nervous system support. Space to breathe and soften. Space to feel what’s here.

Different stories. Different bodies. Same invitation:

To move with presence.

To meet ourselves as we are.

To let practice ripple from the mat into our lives.
